The History of Commancheros Mas Band

The Commancheros and Associates Mas Committee was established in 1983 with the objective of promoting preserving and developing the unique cultural aspects of the Grenadian Carnival product.

The organization comprises of members of the Commancheros Steel Orchestra and the St .Paul's and Associates Mas Band. Since its formation, the organization has been producing carnival presentations which have maintained the tradition of having a steel orchestra as part of its Mas Band.

The creativity of the group has been tried and tested, having experimented with a variety of concepts and design styles. This has enabled us to capture the coveted title of Band of The Year eighteen times in its twenty five years of existence.

The organization is managed by an executive committee which oversees the planning and execution of all aspects of the yearly production of the carnival presentation.
